This morning, Wes and I stayed home from Church as he is not feeling well. We are hoping he feels better soon! Our weekends so far have consisted of a whole lot of nothing. It has been good to relax. There is not much to do in this area. Going to walmart is an outing to us. Kind of like Winkler, I guess, without family and friends to go visit! Yesterday we did go on a short group outing though. We went to a small plantation house in New Iberia. Before it even began, our clothes felt wet with humidity. It was a neat thing to see.

Wes has been asked to be crew foreman, starting this week. He will also be taking on some responsibilities that are normally a project directors. Please pray for wisdom for him this week as he is a bit nervous about finding work for the group of 20 coming in today.
This past week, we finished painting the rooms we needed to complete, in the house that i have been working in since we arrived. It feels wonderful to be done! I have never worked in as hot and humid weather as I have this week. Every now and then, i had to tell myself, "you can do it...just keep going." We had a group full of 20 fun people this past week. It was really nice to have some younger ones mixed in with the older.
Love all your pics Ashley.Keep pluggin' on with the work even though it must be SO difficult in that humidity. What kind of temps and humidity are you having there anyhow?
