Bittersweet goodbyes

Louisiana just feels like home. This was our 3rd time living here. Ever since February of '09 when we came down for a month, it has always just felt like home. So I am a bit sad to say goodbye, not knowing when the next time is I'll be back, if ever. We have had a wonderful time here in Diamond LA, we have had amazing long term people to work with which makes things so much more fun! So it is a bittersweet goodbye for us as we will miss everyone and the area, but happily looking forward to what new experiences and opportunities lie ahead in Pass Christian Mississippi. We will head out for our 2 our drive tomorrow, probably sometime later morning. We have been to Pass and the area before and know it is a beautiful place right along the ocean. This morning, Wes, myself and another sweet lady did some patchwork painting on the exterior of the yellow house, and we finished priming the whole interior yesterday. When we first got here, the house needed insulation in the ceiling, and drywall in the whole house. So to see it fully primed is an accomplishment! Last week we had the privilage of meeting the home owner when she came to the house to make some decisions on the cabinets, flooring, colors, etc. Wes just went for a trip to pick up some supplies that came in, and he has to go do one more thing on a house on the bayou. He said he saw dolphins again, just like we had the last time we were here. This was their first time seeing dolphins while we've been here. The pelicans that were everywhere in '09 are no longer around, due to the oil spill. Many have died. Well, I should get cleaning. We'll let y'all know when we get to Pass! Have a wonderful weekend!
