Our most wet day all year!
I don't think these pictures show even 1/4 of how muddy and wet we got today, but this is the best I got while trying to protect the camera (and failing) from getting wet. Wes, myself and 3 other guys drove 45 minutes today to get to a new work site. Our hope was to get the stilts leveled off and cut off. The lumber was also supposed to arrive, for the house. Well, it did. We spent 1 1/2 hours this morning in the pouring rain, drenched from head to toe. Literally. Our shoes and boots were swimming pools, slipping and sliding in the almost 1 foot deep mud as the water was just gushing in the deep ruts made by the skidsteer and the other machine used to unload the lumber. After moving the lumber twice, and getting it covered up, we left to head back for the day to a nice warm shower and dry clothes. (and it felt incredibly disgusting sitting down on the leather seats for our 45 min ride home!! ) It was pouring rain with gusts of wind, we were so incredibly wet, all we could do was laugh and just not care about where we stepped and slid, and how wet we got. It was quite the sight. So I did my best to capture the memories on camera. Even though the pictures don't do justice, they will still serve as great reminders of our soggy morning! The rest of the day off was sooo nice! It rained all day so everything is a mess, and it is forecasted for the same weather tomorrow. We will see what tomorrow brings!
