There is a time to say hello, and a time to say goodbye. We have done a lot of this these past 2 months. Forming new friendships every week, then just when you get to really know them, its time to say goodbye. It is hard to do when say goodbye, knowing you may very likely never see them again here on earth. Tomorrow,(Thursday) it is time to say goodbye to our home that we created here. An end, and a new beginning. Again. The packing process here at the MDS camp has brought many memories of us packing up our house before we left. I tried not to let them soak in too deep.
Yesterday, Wes and Bob went up the hour drive to James' house, to quickly put in the last piece of countertop, (which they had taken back from the day before, to fix a chip in it). They had unpacked all their tools and were ready to go, when Bob asked Wes where the countertop was. Well don't you know it was back at camp in the tool trailer! And Wes thinks I am the forgetful one. We've had some good laughs over that. So today he went back to the jobsite, and he remembered the countertop and put it in. In the afternoon he helped pack the appliances into the trailer, and did all the odds and ends that need to be done before we take off. Wes is working very hard, as always. There's no slowing him down.
Today was laundry day for me as tomorrow the washer and dryer hookups are being dismantled. I spent the morning taking down the last bedroom walls with Laura. My afternoon was spent in our camper, cleaning up and organizing . It was a good day.
Tomorrow we will check into Holiday Inn and enjoy some good rest and relaxation. I think it may take some time to unwind from all that we're leaving behind!
1 day until our guests arrive :)
