One month officially completed. One year ago, it would have been time to go home now. This past Friday, Wes and I drove down to Dulzura CA, which is 1 hour south of us. We met a couple, and another girl that we became friends with in Diamond LA last Feb. We all hopped into one vehicle and went to Tacate Mexico for supper. It was really neat, although i didn't realize that their beef isn't ground beef, like ours. Theres is chunks of beef. So after a bit of gagging, I got it down. Makes me shiver just thinking about it. Wes really enjoyed the food. We spent the second half of the evening visiting in the couple's camper. We hadn't laughed that hard in a long time--it was a much needed evening of fun and laughter. Saturday was our long termers group outing. We went to Sea World in San Diego. It was really neat. We went to the Shamu killer whale show "believe" and sat in the soak zone, which means that Shamu can splash in that area. And yep, wet we did get. Not soaked, but close to. My hair looked like I stepped out of the shower. :) After that, Wes and I and another younger couple went on a ride together. The one where you are in this round thing that turns as it goes down the rapids. And of course, I got drenched twice in a row, while the others stayed mostly dry. It was as if you had a bucket full of water, stuck your jeans in it for 10 min, and took them out and put them straight back on. They were so soaked they wanted to slide down all the time!! And that was on me for the rest of the day. I was cold but the fun was worth it. Then Olive Garden for supper! What a day! Today is relax time. Wes and I are having a hard time working on the house Wes is crew leader of. This is due to the situation i mentioned before, with it being so far from a typical MDS home, and all the other reasons that go along with it. Please pray that we will be given direction as in what we are to do about this, or to just keep on working, even though it doesnt feel right. And if this is Gods plan for us to work through this, let us be shown that as well. Wes cannot get this off his mind, which leads to sleepless nights, and frustration in the back of his mind all the time. We are here to do meaningfull work, and we desire to do God's will.
