Well, after typing this all once and having it delete itself, here's for round 2.
Somehow we find ourselves in the last week here in SK! Although sometimes it feels like time goes backwards, in the overall, it goes pretty quick. 4 more work days! This week there are 2 groups here-1 from Morden Mennonite, and another from Langley BC.
Today I found myself mudding once again. Wes and 2 others were working on the roof and finished the tin today! He has a few more hours left tomorrow of odds and ends up there. It looks great! He, and all the people helping did a great job, like usual!
Currently, Rock Solid is running very low, actually, behind, in their funding for the building project. This is very sad to see as after we leave, we don't want to see this building stand still for a long period of time---the house the boys are currently living in is very very very cramped, old, and not suited for the cold winter months. Their hope is to be living in their new house by November. Due to lack of funding, this is going to take another of God's miracles to make this happen! Please pray for funding to fall into place soon, as well as more workers to finish the project!! The man in charge of the building is a non-Christian, and everyone is really hoping he will see something wonderful through this!
Wes and I are planning a few days of camping after we leave here, then we'll be home for a few weeks again before our next assignment, which will be our last time we leave Manitoba before we're done our year with MDS!
This past friday night, I prayed that God would make His presence felt in our lives--just a reminder that He's still here with us. I wish i could post the picture of what we woke up to on Saturday morning. (it won't let me load it.) The whole time we've been here, our truck has been parked by our camper. But friday night, we found some friends had been visiting our truck, (YES-MICE!) so we parked it across the driveway from our camper, out in the open where no mice would hopefully be. Well don't you know that it had been extremely windy at night, and a fairly thick, tall tree had broken and fallen directly behind our truck...lengthwise....just perfectly so that the leaves brushed our back of the box, and one branch fell into the box. Not a scratch. Well, that was enough for me to be reminded of God's presence!! Isn't it amazing what God can do?!? Let this be a reminder that God is very near....always!
