We had a fun week with a group of 20 from Coaldale AB. This was a youth group abounding outside of all seams with energy! This week the drywalling and mudding has begun. Also, underneath allll the drywall we had to put OSB on, for protection of future punching/kicking, etc, from the boys at Rock Solid. That has created a LOT of extra work! This week I have been putting vapour barrier up, putting on soffit and fascia, house wrap, insulation on the exterior, nova seal on the roof for under tin, and carrying tin. My jobs ranged a lot this week. Wes almost finished the tin on the roof, quite a bit of soffit and fascia, house wrap and a bit of exterior insulation. The scissor lift has been so nice to have around the past 2 weeks. The new cook came in today, she's here for the next 2 weeks. Today was haircut day for Wes. He had much anticipated that haircut for awhile now, the right time just finally came today. We had a nice rain today over supper with a bit of thunder. Feels so refreshing.
So we're goin on 6 weeks now.....we have 2 or 3 weeks left..not quite sure which yet. Then it's back to Manitoba until our next assignment begins. Not sure where that is yet.
I think the mice have slowed down a bit here at Simmie Camp, due to all the action going on lately. That's alright with me, although you definately still spot those suckers around in the bathrooms, chapel and dining hall. And the cook's camper......
