Somewhere in the middle of nowhere

What a week! The building went from flat foundation/floor with the walk out basement framed up, to the top picture on our last post! Framed up, all windows except the top ones on the chapel, and roof on. This was all completed in 4 days. 4 days!!!! The group of mostly framers were here, and boy did they come to work. They ran out of work (leaving the easy stuff for the youth) so they went home a day early. During the week one evening, our group went to play soccer with the Rock Solid boys, one night we had a fire with the MDS short termers, (with mice running around us everywhere!!) and Thursday night at supper, the directors of Rock Solid Refuge gave his amazing testimony, that brought most to tears. Friday, since the short termers were gone, Wes & I, and Barry, (the other long term) cleaned up, mowed and trimmed most of the Rock Solid yard, which was over grown and not very pleasant looking. It sure looks a lot nicer now! The heat today made it very tough to work all day, I had a really really long day. The mosquitoes here are surprisingly not bad. Wes and I had our camper parked at the Simmie camp, 17 min away, where the short termers stay. Today we had to move out, and onto the Rock Solid yard, temporarily for the week, due to the camp being used by a family camp. We seem to be all about relocating. It gets really old pretty quick. Wes built a deck for our sky high camper this afternoon. The ground is so bumpy here, our steps were way in the air! It's real nice, something to be excited about, like a home reno or something. :) This week, Wes was really sick of people. Nobody in particular, just in general. So he found it quite hard, but now he feels better. And today, I just wanted to go home. And stay home. I find that when there are no short termers here, I have too much time to think, and miss what I don't have anymore. Thinking about places I'd rather be. I have to work on that. So the next 2 weeks, as far as we know so far, we have no short termers coming. It could be a long 2 weeks!! We have so many options of what to do out here this weekend, we're not sure what to choose! HA. Yeah, no. We'll have to go try and find a beach or something!
