We enjoyed a beautiful sunny +20ish California day today. A perfect day for working outside. Yesterday it was sooo cold, we could see our breath. It was too much like manitoba weather....we don't need that out here! It was +7. I was so cold all day long from the inside out, I have never worked in weather that cold before. I don't recommend it. It made me wonder how Wes could ever have gone to work on those -20 to -30 days. Brrr. We finished the roof today! Yahoo! Wes says that he has absolutely nothing bad to say about this week. How wonderful! We got a lot of the siding on and started also. Sunday the next group will arrive, they are 22 college kids from Pennsylvania, apparently. Age 19-29. This is a very very large group for our projects here. We are very much looking forward to having a young group here! We need to feel young again!!! I may have written this already, i can't remember and dont feel like checking..... we have new cooks this week. An older couple from Arborg Manitoba. We actually met them in November in Pinawa when we attended the MDS leadership training seminar. MENNONITE FOOD. I can't tell you how thankful i am for this. We are having TACO SALAD today! WOW . Thats all i can say. It feels like home to us. Our new project directors arrived here Wednesday. They are from Saskatchewan. Our current project directors leave tomorrow morning. 6 out of 7 of the long termers here are Canadian! Time to get ready for supper. Have a wonderful weekend everyone! A great big "hi" to all of you from Wes and I.
