There is a lot to be said about husbands and wives being together 24-7. Literally, 24-7. We find we need our space a little. We found that out today. We both have to make extra efforts to not get on eachother's nerves!! We had a wonderful relaxing weekend with friends, spending some time at the beach and Point Loma. I will include some pics either today or soon. Back to work again yesterday. This weeks group is from Pennsylvania. 22. That is the number of short term volunteers. Yes, this is LOTS. Almost too-lots. When work is limited because of the whole inspection thing, you very quickly begin to run over each other in your, or their, path. 5 ladies and the rest men. I am again in the group with men only. But I really enjoy it. On the days you don't really feel like talking much, you don't have to. Wes and I have been lucky enough to drive the MDS truck this week so far. This is so much better than the huge massive van!! This helps me not get motion sick as easily, due to less swaying back and forth around the curves! Wes is feeling 100% again. He was sick Thursday and Friday and Friday night we went out with the group, and by Saturday he was feeling mostly back to normal. Just the flu. I have no symptoms yet...i hope to keep it that way. Just to let you know, we no longer have a cell phone of our own. We cancelled it after our contract was up. We will see how long we last without one. So if you want to get a hold of us, i will leave a number on the side of our blog. This is Wes's work phone. We don't really use this phone to visit on but if you would call it, we would call you back via skype. We have found out where our next placements will more than likely be. Unless something else comes up. New Iberia Louisiana is next, then either staying there or at Diamond LA (where we were last year), then visit home :) then Saskatchewan for a youth project. And that takes us to September, which we know nothing about yet. This past weekend, there was a 17 year old girl who vanished while running in her town of Poway, which is 15 min away from us. We have been there a number of times and drive by often. They have been searching for her until this morning, when they found pieces of her clothing, leading to a body in the shallow area of a lake nearby. DNA of a registered sex offender was found on the clothing and he was arrested. They are pretty sure this is her body, but the final confirmation has not been made. This hits very close to home as it is so close to our new home. Please pray for the family and friends of this young girl!! This is what has been on my mind since we heard the day after the disappearance. We don't really have much else to say right now, if you have any questions about anything, please just ask!
